Janet Bennett
Janet Bennett has actively participated in animal rescue since June of 1997. She and her husband began volunteering as foster parents for Cats About Town Society. In 1998, she became their Vice President and began taking a more active role in the organization by participating in monthly meetings, helping make decisions, and putting changes into place. From 1997 to 2000, her husband and she personally fostered and adopted out over 150 cats.

In May of 2000, Janet and her husband founded and incorporated Folsom Feline Rescue (FFR). They have recruited up to 90 volunteers during the first three years, coordinating their efforts with fostering, adoptions, and special events. They regularly plan and carry out fundraiser activities throughout the year. As Treasurer, Janet has been responsible for all of FFR's financial records. In October of 2001, she and her husband created two no-cost spay/neuter programs geared towards helping low-income families and feral cat colonies.

In November of 2002, Janet began creating No More Homeless Pets in Sacramento County. She is a member of their Board of Directors and was voted in as President in January 2003.

Janet holds a bachelors degree in Computer Science from CSU, Sacramento and is employed part-time as a pet sitter, English instructor, and tutor.
